Published: February 28, 2025
Sustainability is the future, also in floriculture. Consumers are increasingly demanding sustainably grown flowers and plants. At the Trade Fair Rijswijk, we are responding to this demand. Meet the innovative growers who meet sustainability standards and are FSI (Floriculture Sustainability Initiative) compliant.

Discover the Green Walk

More than half of the growers present are FSI-certified and can be recognised by the green ‘Green Walk’ sign at their stand. These growers work hard every day to deliver beautiful, high-quality flowers and plants, with consideration for people and the environment.

Why you can't afford to miss this:

  • Innovation and sustainability: Discover how the floriculture sector is working towards a sustainable future.
  • Transparency and quality: Learn more about certification and how it contributes to transparency in the sector.
  • Networking opportunities: Meet growers, retailers and other professionals from the sector.

In the floriculture sector, all links in the chain work hard every day to deliver beautiful, high-quality flowers and plants that make consumers happy. Retailers, such as supermarkets, garden centres, webshops and florists, are placing increasingly high demands on sustainably grown flowers and plants. In addition, the laws and regulations for the floriculture sector are becoming increasingly strict. Certification ensures transparency in the sector. Certified growers register their use of water, gas and crop protection products, among other things. More than 70% of the flowers and plants on the Royal FloraHolland platform now meet FSI requirements.
